Total traffic park in Hamdan bin Zayed School

Total traffic park at Hamdan bin Zayed is one of the 14 traffic parks that Total in the UAE installed partnering with schools across the country (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah etc.).

Since its installation in 2018, Total traffic park in Hamdan bin Zayed School, located in Abu Dhabi city, raised the awareness of more than 2,000 children between 4 and 9 years old.

This huge impact was possible as Hamdan bin Zayed school opened its premises to other schools of Al Bateen area.

Total traffic parks are part of Total Safety Traffic Education Program (STEP) that is deployed worldwide under Total Foundation commitment to Road Safety. Indeed, Total and Total Foundation are pro-actively engage to share the Group expertise in term of safety with the local communities of its host countries to achieve a reduction in the number of victims on the roads.

On November 18th, 2019, Total employees Nuha Salman and Marine Georget dedicated half a day to contribute to a road safety awareness session given in the traffic park at Hamdan bin Zayed. Around 80 children benefited from this specific session, receiving educative booklets and learning on the traffic park facilities about the signals on the road and the safety habits needed as a driver or a pedestrian. Following the session, each child got a certificate of attendance.

The two employees took part of this session as volunteers under the Action! Program, a Total program that allows all Total employees to take up to 3 working days per year to involve themselves in community initiatives related to the Total Foundation pillars (Road Safety, Youth inclusion & Education, Cultural Dialogue & Heritage as well as Forests & Climate).
