Total successfully completes METIS UAE Pilot Phase 1 in Abu Dhabi

Total conducted the Metis® seismic acquisition phase-1 in the deserts of the United Arab Emirates at the ASAB Field.

After the signature of the agreement of innovative unmanned seismic operation, the R&D joint project teams between ADNOC and TOTAL executed recently this activity successfully.

A mini seismic crew and equipment from around the world were mobilized by SAExploration in 3 weeks, started on the exact day marked for the kick-off meeting, achieved 90% of our test objectives, and managed to demobilize before the arrival of a BGP exploration mega-project, on time.

The UAV flew without incident, the DARTs developed by Wireless Seismic coupled well in the sand with the new nose cone designs and connected wirelessly and in real-time to the Ground Receiver Units and to the central unit without any problems.
