2nd edition of the IFP MOOC - Energy transition: innovation towards a low carbon future by Total Foundation

To foster access to free, quality education for all throughout the world, Total Foundation is collaborating with IFP School (the French Institute for Petrol) to develop Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), an educational online program, as part of its commitment to "Youth Inclusion and Education".

This second MOOC edition, entitled "Energy transition: innovation towards a low carbon future",will start on January 27th, 2020.

It aims to help participants understand the challenges of the energy transition, using the Paris Agreement global warming scenario as its main reference.

It discusses energy demand and supply, renewables for electricity generation in a carbon constraint world and underground resources (geothermal and natural gas).

It also looks at innovations available to meet this challenge, including carbon capture and storage, energy efficiency, biofuels and bio-sourced chemicals (see program attached).

This MOOC is a 5 week course of 2 to 3 hours per week, forums, bonuses and free

Certification available in English with subtitles (evaluation mini games are in English, French and Spanish).
